About this study
We're looking for IT and cybersecurity professionals with hands-on experience applying the NIST SP 800-53 security control framework in cloud environments for organizations that contract with the U.S. Department of Defense. This is a doctoral research study exploring how practitioners actually experience federal cybersecurity standards on the ground - what works, what's costly, and how confident teams feel implementing these controls in real cloud operations. Your perspective will help identify challenges, successes, and opportunities to strengthen cloud security practice, training, and governance across the DoD contractor community. The session is a single 60–90 minute Zoom interview. No preparation is required - we just want your honest, experience-based perspective.
